Beyond the label provides safe, loving support and shelter for children with disabilities and families in crisis, helping them heal, grow, and thrive

Im Mrs Anderson , and if I had to answer the question “Who am I?”—I would say I am a mother first, a fighter second, and someone who believes in the power of love, stability, and second chances. I’ve been through things that made me realize how important it is to have someone in your corner, especially as a child. I’ve seen what happens when there isn’t a safety net. And that’s why I’ve made it my mission to be that safety net for others.

I want to start a nonprofit that helps parents, grandparents, and children with disabilities—because this is a community that often gets overlooked or under-supported. On top of that, I dream of building a children’s shelter. But not just any shelter—I want it to be a safe place for kids in foster care, especially those with disabilities or those who are older and often forgotten. A place where they’re not just surviving, but really living. A place filled with love, structure, and real opportunities to heal and grow. I want them to feel like they belong, like they matter, and like their future is still bright no matter what their past looks like.

I believe I’m the best person to do this because I get it. I know what it’s like to struggle, to feel unstable, to not have peace even at night. And because of that, I refuse to let others go through life feeling like they have no one. I love my children more than anything, and the thought of them going through life without someone who truly cares for them breaks my heart. Every child deserves at least one person who shows up for them completely—and I want to be that person for the ones who have no one else.

This isn’t just an idea for me. It’s personal. It’s purpose. It’s something I’m committed to with my whole heart. I’ve lived the hard parts of life, and now I want to help others find their way through it too—with love, support, and a chance to thrive.
